I came on google to look for a quick breakfast spot and ran across this GEM! I had waffles and catfish. The waffles were so good and almost tasted like cake. The catfish was seasoned and fried to perfection. Some of the best catfish I've ever had! The owners and the Chef were some of the nicest and hospitable people you'll ever meet. This place deserves 💯 ⭐'s. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch menu. I suggest you all go and support this local restaurant.

Despite my New Years resolution to "eat what you prepped" I have found an excuse to eat here 3 times in the 8 weeks they have been open!
A well made breakfast sandwich is a thing of beauty and my bacon, soft scrambled egg, lettuce, tomato add mayo on Texas toast was perfect. I got that to go on my way to work and it was so good I decided I needed to plan to have lunch there.
My second trip I ate there and got the 2 piece fried catfish with black eyed peas and French fries with GE sauce and a banana pudding to go. The catfish was huge and delicious and the French fries were crispy and well seasoned, no salt or pepper needed. The black eyed peas could have been my whole meal, they were loaded with pork! I also got to sample the jambalaya and I will be making another trip to to have that, it was outstanding.
Today I got the fried pork chops with mashed potatoes, buttered corn and cornbread. The chops were huge, I only managed one of them, my leftovers could have been an entire lunch and they were "cut with a butter knife" tender! I didn't know it came with cornbread and it was a treat!
While I was there today I overheard them discussing extended hours for Rodeo and some Rodeo food specials that I am excited about trying. Goode Eats is a true asset to this area, I can't wait till next week when I actually show up on smothered pork chop day!

Leaving work I was craving some good soul food. Went on Google search, read a couple reviews on other restaurants and came across this gem. I made an UberEats order , but for whatever reason it canceled my order. So I called them made my order over the phone. The older gentleman to the front is an absolute delight! I originally ordered the fried ribs with rice and gravy with Mac and cheese, then I spotted their parfaits and banana pudding (definitely worth trying). Got in my car just to do a little taste testing and babyyyy this is definitely your grandma’s home cooking!!!! The food is super flavorful and made fresh!! I will definitely be back!!

Everything tasted amazing and felt thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were well balanced and really stood out with every bite. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert at the end. Truly a great experience and I would love to come back again.

I enjoyed....well shall I say we enjoyed. Been wanting a home cooked meal that I didn't have to cook or spend an excessive amount on a plate. I'll be back for a veggie plate. And they accommodate for food allergies!!!

This was our first time eating here and the service was amazing. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. I ordered the smothered turkey wings with rice and dressing and was not disappointed at all. Portions were huge and more than enough. My husband ordered the Cajun fried catfish with black eyed peas and mashed potatoes and his plate was also piled high and delicious. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely be making this a place to eat again soon.

We touched down in Houston after an early morning flight at 6:30 am!! Although I've been here many times before for business travel, I knew I had to connect with people who know the area! We stopped to patronize a black-owned business. Owners Mr. Skip and Pam of Good Eats Southern Cuisine treated us with love. But wait! The food was outstanding! I had to hold off on tasting it! But baby, when I did, it did not disappoint! We had turkey necks, corn stuffing, fried and regular ribs, fried catfish, fried corn on the cob, yams, and that cornbread! It was all really soul food! Check them out when you are in Houston, Texas! Tell them we sent you! 😋💯🎯💚💥
